Here
is a highly interesting and important piece of information for music lovers around
the world. We are bringing out from Kozhikode,Kerala, India, a half-yearly Bi-lingual
(Malayalam & English), Journal exclusively for Music. When we say Music, we
mean all classes of Indian Music, viz Karnatic, Hindustani, Ghasals and all forms
Folk Music. The first issue of the Journal was released by well-known literateur
M.T.Vasudevan Nair in October, 2006. The Journal is registered with Registrar
of Newspapers, New Delhi(RNI) (Reg.No:21645/2007).
We
welcome contributions from scholars in Music in the form of articles, studies,
research papers, keerthans, ghazals, and the like. The contributions are, however,
to be made primarily in Malayalam with exceptions in the case of research papers
& studies and contributions made by scholars outside Kerala,which could be
in English. Journal may also contain important events in music; interviews with
eminent personalities, book reviews etc.
We are very glad to inform you
that Sangeethacharya Prof. Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma, well-known Poet Prof.
O.N.V. Kurup and famous Physician and Scholar, Dr.C.K.Ramachandran are the Patrons

The Journal will have 160 pages
and its price for single copy is Rs.90/- in India ($10 for single copy and $50
for 3 Year-Membership abroad or equivalent in Indian Rupees) Those who enroll
as Members will receive the Journal free of cost and free of postage. The Membership
fees in India are Rs.150/- for one year(2 issues), Rs.425/- for three years(6
issues) and Rs. 650/- for five years(10 issues) and the same may be sent by M.O/DD
payable at Kozhikode. If payments are made by outstation cheque, collection charges
@ Rs.25/50 within Kerala/outside Kerala may also be added on to the subscription
