Bilingual Journal for Music |
Here is a highly interesting and important piece of
information for music lovers around the world. We are
bringing out from Kozhikode, Kerala, India, a Half-yearly/Bi-lingual
(English & Malayalam), Journal titled as SAMAKALIKA
SANGEETHAM exclusively for Music. When we say Music, we
mean all classes of Indian Music, viz Karnatic, Hindustani,
Ghasals, Rabindrasangeeth, and all forms Folk Music. The
Title of the Journal has the approval of the Registrar
of Newspapers, New Delhi(RNI). The first issue of the
Journal was released by well-known literateur M.T.Vasudevan
Nair in October, 2006. The fifth issue is just released
and you can find its contents down below.
We welcome scholarly contributions from scholars in Music.Contributions
may be made either in English or Malayalam limiting to
about 8 pages of A-5 printed size per issue, along with
a brief bio-data, a pass-port size photograph, postal
and email address with telephone & mobile numbers
of the author. The contribution could be an article, study,
summarized form of a thesis, an interview of a great maestro
in music, book reviews or any other aspect of music.

The Journal will have 160 pages and its price for single copy is Rs.90/- in India ($ 6 for single copy including postage and $60 for 5 Year-Membership(10 issues) abroad or equivalent in Indian Rupees) Those who enroll as Members will receive the Journal free of cost and free of postage.
