Here is a highly interesting and important piece of information for music lovers around the world. We are bringing out from Kozhikode, Kerala, India, a Half-yearly/Bi-lingual (English & Malayalam), Journal titled as SAMAKALIKA SANGEETHAM exclusively for Music. When we say Music, we mean all classes of Music, viz. Karnatic, Hindustani, Ghasals, Rabindrasangeeth, and all forms Folk Music etc. The Journal is registered with the Registrar of Newspapers, New Delhi (RNI) under Reg.No: ERBIL/2011/36735. The first issue of the Journal was released by well-known littérateur Padmabhooshan. M.T.Vasudevan Nair in October, 2006.

We welcome scholarly contributions from scholars in Music. Contributions may be made either in English or Malayalam. The contribution could be an article, study, summarized form of a thesis, an interview of a great maestro in music, book reviews or any other aspect of music.

Our standard norms for submission of the Article in MS Word 2000 are hereunder:
Font: Verdana - Font size: 10 Points - Paper Size - A 5 - Margins All the four sides 0.75"
If any Special Fonts/Symbols are used in the Article, the same should be brought to our notice, apart from sending the same along with the Article.

The Article should be below 10 pages of A 5 size with not more than 40 lines per page and same should be supported with a passport size photograph, Bio-data of the author of not more than 12 lines with full postal address and e-mail ID. Tel: & Mob: No. also may be furnished to us for contact purpose, but the same will not be published. The passport size photograph of the Author & those relating to the Article sent by email, should be of higher resolution to ensure good quality.

The Journal will have 160 to200 pages and its price for single copy is Rs.100/- in India ($ 8 for single copy including postage and $80 for 5 Year-Subscription(10 issues) abroad or equivalent in Indian Rupees) Those who enroll as subscribers will receive the Journal free of cost and free of postage.
